One who does great deeds out of a desire for glory is acting from impure motives, but one who seeks glory as an incentive to the doing of good deeds is being nobly motivated.
人因贪得荣耀而行大事、乃是出于污秽的心。惟有求荣耀作善事的、乃是出于清洁的心。
